Meet the breeder

I'm Amanda S., the breeder behind A Stone’s Throw Miniature Poodles located in Eagle Point, OR. My dogs are bred for quality including temperament, behavior, and confirmation. They will excel in the show ring or as an incredible companion.

Q. & A. with Amanda

  • Why did you start breeding?

I love my dog and the happiness she brings to me so I wanted to share that with others. Dogs have been a huge part of our family and I know the joy they bring to kids as well as the responsibility it teaches them. My many years in 4-H have taught me the value of having a dog with a mind and body bred for soundness. I love providing good dogs that bring joy into others’ lives.
  • What makes your program special?

The highlight of my puppies are the way they are raised. They grow up inside with my family including children of all ages. We put a lot of time into preparing them for success and a smooth transition into their next family. Puppies are bathed and clipped regularly. They receive outside time and exposure to farm animals. Our puppies love to learn and please. They come started on basic obedience
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
