I'm Alison A., the breeder behind Abner Farm’s Poodles located in Buckhorn, KY. Our dogs are raised on a 100 acre farm in Kentucky. We offer healthy pets that are from health tested parents. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament and are mother approved. We take pride in provided you with a healthy puppy who will become a huge member of your family!

Why did you start breeding?
I have always had dogs growing up and decided to purchase a Standard Poodle from a Good Dog breeder located in Virginia. When I purchased my poodle I also purchased the breeding rights as well. I done a lot of research and decided I would like to produce litters with my Jackie as she has such a wonderful temperament and has a good bloodline.What makes your program special?
When a person purchases a puppy from me they have contact with me from then on. I will answer any questions they have and will take the dog back at any time they can no longer take care of the dog. I also supply the buyer with a gift bag with different items to help them start out their life with their new puppy. I take pride in raising my puppies with plenty of attention and love.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, cream, red, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Alison breeder for Abner farms poodles was wonderful to work with during every phase of our obtaining our new addition Bess. We communicated weekly and received multiple photos. Abner Farms was amazing with communication and keeping me up to date on my puppy through the entire first 8 weeks of her life! Not to mention that they do all of the proper parental health testing, puppy vaccinations, temperament testing, and even microchipping your puppy all in that first 8 weeks! When we brought Maple home, she blew us out of the water! Our expectations were high, and our puppy still managed to beat them! Abner Farms provided all of the neccesary socialization and stimulation needed to create a well rounded puppy, so when she came home to us, alls we had to do is continue what had already begun! Maple has been the best dog we’ve ever had, and we have happily chosen to add another Abner Farms poodle to our family!
