I'm Erica A., the breeder behind Above Standard Poodles located in Grimsley, TN. When my Army Vet husband told me he really liked our Standard Poodle, I knew Standard Poodles were a special breed and we had to help more families fall in love with these dogs! My family and I are the breeders behind Above Standard Poodles. We are friendly, and outgoing and our puppies are too!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Why each breeder starts breeding is a unique blend of very personal reasons. For me, I wanted something I could do from home, shoulder to shoulder with my kids. I wanted to teach my kids to work hard, to love deeply, and to handle loss and goodbyes with grace. Raising puppies together seemed like a perfect fit.

  • What makes your program special?

    I admire the breeders that have countless show titles - but I'm not them. I make sure all of our dogs conform to the breed standard, but I don't obsess about what wins shows. Because honestly, I care far more about the personality of the puppies. I strive to produce FRIENDLY poodles. I want you to get a puppy who is obsessed with you, and becomes part of your family.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include apricot, blue, brown, red, silver, parti, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Erica

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,750 - $2,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.
