Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

William was absolutely incredible to work with. The same day I put in an application for Girl 3 (now proudly known as Nebula ❤️), he responded right away. We FaceTimed, he sent pictures, and we fell in love with her instantly. William went above and beyond, and for a fair fee, flew Nebula all the way from Florida to Pennsylvania for us. He took care of all the paperwork, scheduling, etc. and had everything done in a timely manner. Upon arrival, William was kind, quick, and communicative. We couldn’t be happier with our little girl. She is in perfect health, absolutely beautiful, and has become the perfect addition to our family. I cannot recommend this breeder enough!!!!

William was responsive and easy to work with from the moment I first contacted him through Good Dog, all the way through the pickup of our puppy—and even afterward. He is clearly a knowledgeable and caring breeder. Our puppy, Violet (previously “Girl 4” from the litter born 5/19/2025), is wonderful. She is well-adjusted, friendly, smart, and has a remarkably calm demeanor (at least for a schnauzer!).
