Q. & A. with Kate
Why did you start breeding?
My path into breeding began with a lifelong passion for dogs. After 20 years working with German Shepherds and at a wolf sanctuary, I fell in love with Papillons. Their intelligence, beauty, and joyful spirit inspired me to dedicate the last 15 years to raising Papillons with health, temperament, and purpose at the heart of every litter.
What makes your program special?
What makes Alarié Papillons special is the foundation of knowledge and care behind every litter. With 35+ years of canine experience, we raise each puppy with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI), ensuring they grow into healthy, confident, and well-socialized companions ready for success in both family and show homes.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Minnie, mom
Papillon
About Minnie
Minnie is our adventurous girl who loves to hike and explore. An AKC Champion and certified therapy dog, she shines in the show ring—especially with junior handlers—and excels in Barn Hunt and agility. At home, Minnie is both sweet and sassy; if you ignore her, she’ll gently slap you with her paw for attention. She’s sensitive at heart, pouting in a corner if she feels in trouble, but a cookie always makes it right. Minnie’s mix of talent, heart, and humor makes her unforgettable.
Jack, dad
Papillon
About Jack
Jack is our goofy, smart boy with a big heart. Like many Papillon boys, he can be a bit of an overthinker—but he snaps right out of it when asked for kisses! He loves hiking and playing with his friends at the lake, and he’s as cuddly as he is playful. In the ring, Jack shines—he’s currently working toward his AKC Grand Champion Bronze title, proving he’s as accomplished as he is lovable.
