I'm Karen A., the breeder behind Alderson Kennels located in Belle Plaine, KS. The foundation of our breeding program starts with raising healthy and well-loved dogs. We aim to pass the same happiness of owning a quality-bred dog to our buyers. I breed Labs years ago and life changed, now I have a Standard Poodle which is my life line to happiness. I love all breeds of dogs and love training them too.
Q. & A. with Karen
Why did you start breeding?
In the 80's I breed Labrador retrievers for about 10 years. Then life changed. 2 years ago I bought a Standard poodle due to grief and she has been my life line and best friend, goes almost everywhere with me.
What makes your program special?
My program is not that special, I'm just getting started back into breeding again. I have happy, loving puppies because I love them back. I try to start them out with some training before they go to their wonderful home
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chocolate and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
