I'm Lindsey B., the breeder behind Allegheny River Retrievers located in Turtlepoint, PA. Our dogs are family-raised and bred for versatility, ability, and drive. They are very trainable and make excellent hunters! We breed each litter of puppies with the goal of superior temperament, health, conformation, movement, and the natural ability and drive to hunt. We take great pride in our dogs, and they produce outstanding puppies.

Lindsey partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

"The price includes a health guarantee for 2 years on hips & elbows, first round of vaccinations, deworming and puppy socialization. Puppy picks are done after their 6 week vet check up. "

Beni is an exceptional golden! He enjoys working in the field and water, but also has a amazing temperament in the home. We have two young children in our home that coexist with our goldens and Beni likes to follow them around and play with them as well as oversee whatever activities they may be doing. He obtained his junior hunt title and will be running in spring of 2025 to advance his title. He is a beautiful dog with a great lean build and gorgeous dark golden (red) coat. Beni is very smart and is always eager to learn new things!

Bodie is our foundation Male that made us fall in love with the breed. He has high energy in the field and a wonderful prey drive. Bodie is able to turn off the energy when in the home and enjoys being around people and attention from them.

Browning is a female Golden Retriever almost 4 years old. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Lindsey decided to make her part of their program. Lindsey has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Bali is our foundation female, she has a gentle and calm temperament. She enjoys being out in the field/water hunting with awesome prey drive. Bali is also a family pet with a great "off" switch, she follows her humans around the house and loves to get attention from everyone. Bali is a beautiful girl, she has a shorter coat with a dark golden (red) color.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
