I'm Lindsay B., the breeder behind Allegro Beagles located in Modesto, CA. Our dogs are bred for temperament, health, and family companions first and foremost. We view our show dogs as family pets with careers. All our dogs live inside our home as family companions. Our puppies are raised in the most common living spaces, so they are exposed to regular day to day life.
Q. & A. with Lindsay
Why did you start breeding?
Allegro Beagles started in 2002 with the purchase of my first Beagle, Oliver. Oliver was my first show dog, first obedience dog, and my first hound. He got me hooked into the world of showing and breeding. My goal is to preserve the breed standard while improving temperament, health, and intelligence.
What makes your program special?
I have worked with rescue since 1997, attend seminars on breeding and training and am always continuing my education on current developments in canine care. I am on the board of the Del Valle Dog Club and serve on the Health and Genetics Committee for the National Beagle Club. My Beagles are raised in my house and are part of the family. I do not believe in a kennel situation for my family members
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
