Meet the breeder

I'm Grace P., the breeder behind Aloha Cotons located in Aloha, OR. These kiddos are our babies who live in our home, sleep in our bed, and go on adventures with us. They are full of sass and personality, and make us laugh out loud every single day. Bred and raised by a veterinary behavior professional, our pups come with lifetime behavior & health support.

Q. & A. with Grace

  • Why did you start breeding?

As a veterinary behavioral therapist, I've worked with so many families devastated by health and behavior concerns in their beloved pets. My own dog was a breeder dog rescued from a puppy mill, and blossomed in our home into a funny, opinionated sassy-pants until the ripe old age of 17. If there are more ethical breeders, people have better options than to turn to terrible puppy mills.
  • What makes your program special?

We draw from 2 internationally recognized Coton de Tulear breeding clubs - the American Coton Club and Malagasy Coton de Tulear Preservation Club - to create more genetic diversity in this rare breed. We can trace all of our dogs back 8-15 generations, all the way back to the original grandparents from Madagascar.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and white, tri-color, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
