I'm Maritza D., the breeder behind Aloha Sunset Doodles, LLC located in Ewa Beach, HI. Our puppies and dams’ well-being is our priority. Puppies are raised in our home while being developed on a proven daily curriculum starting at 3 days old and introduced to sounds, basic commands, and crate training. Temperament evaluations are performed to honor puppies and assist families in choosing one that fits their lifestyle. We strive to breed dogs who can heal hearts, as a family pet or for service work.
Q. & A. with Maritza
Why did you start breeding?
For many years, we only had one small dog due to frequent travels with our military service. Luna, our 14-yr-old Maltese who passed away late 2021, traveled with us to five duty stations. She was our emotional support through stressful times such as deployments, loss of a family member, lengthy separations, and post traumatic stress. Knowing first-hand how a pet can soothe a soul, I wanted to breed dogs who can heal other people’s hearts. Our goal is to not only produce healthy, good tempered dogs as pets but also as service and therapy dogs. We offer a discount to military personnel and first responders.
What makes your program special?
We are confident that our breeding dogs and program will produce quality puppies. I am dedicated to continue learning in order to raise puppies in a safe and clean environment, and teach them using an advanced curriculum that will develop them into intelligent, obedient, and confident dogs. When you choose Aloha Sunset Doodles, you choose a lifelong commitment to continue to honor, respect, and love your dog.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Cockapoo puppies are mini size. Goldendoodle puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Cockapoo puppies include merle, red and white, sable, red, cream, brown and tan, and brown. Goldendoodle puppies include apricot, red, chocolate, black, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Aloha Sunset Doodles was great! Maritza took us through the whole process from when the puppies were born until the day we brought them home. She is open and transparent. Most of all, we loved getting daily pictures and update on the puppies' progress. It helped us gain insight into which puppy would best fit our family.
