Meet the breeder

I'm Suzanne L., the breeder behind AmazingK9s located in Palmdale, CA. I'm a Judge for AKC Conformation, Scent Work, Farm Dog, ATT, Trick Dog, a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and Animal Actor Certified Evaluator. As well as a Certified Professional trainer, CPDT-KA mostly service dogs & CNWI instructor for scent detection.

Q. & A. with Suzanne

  • Why did you start breeding?

After putting multiple titles on my 2 Border Collies I decided to breed them to keep a puppy. I was interested in health and temperament and these two had it all. They were both Dual Champions (conformation and herding). They had an amazing, beautiful litter and that started my breeding program. I've been successfully breeding my dogs for 16 years.
  • What makes your program special?

After training many breeds for service dog work, I’m breeding my own. I chose Golden Retrievers because they’ve been the most successful with service dog work. I'm a professional dog trainer so I'm looking for good temperaments. I'm an AKC conformation judge so I'm looking for good structure. I compete in dog sports so I want an active dog with an off switch in the house.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
