Q. & A. with Joy
Why did you start breeding?
I was raised with Golden Retrievers and love the breed loyally. My daughter wanted a service dog and asked if we could let our dog have one litter for her to keep a service dog. The dog we kept has had three litters. We continually get requests for service dogs and emotional support dogs and so we have kept going.
What makes your program special?
I use a specialized curriculum with neurological stimulation, scent therapy, and training every day I have the puppies. We raise them to adapt to their environment and learn from new situations. This creates a stable and adaptable dog that is easy to train no matter what they go on to become in their new home. Because they are in our home, they are given love and attention continually.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
