I'm Laura M., the breeder behind Amor Mio Great Danes located in Dallas, TX. All my dogs are pets first but are capable of so much more beyond that. I train them in obedience, rally, conformation, etc. It is important that I am breeding well-rounded dogs that are capable of doing all the things they were meant to do. Great Danes are such incredible dogs and deserve to be bred to their fullest potential.

Why did you start breeding?
Breeding was the natural progression of things. After showing, it felt right.What makes your program special?
I only breed every two years or so. I do not breed often, but when I do, I go above and beyond.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Price
Puppy prices include between $2,500 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price include AKC Registration, microchip, vaccinations and training will be started. If puppy is cropped price will vary. All of our puppies are the same price.”

About Salem
Salem is a female Great Dane. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Laura decided to make her part of their program. Laura has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
