Anita’s little Corgi Haven

I first met Anita is October 2023 less than one week after losing our previous corgi baby at 14 years old. I originally reached out to her because I knew a mutual friend had one of her puppies. We visited with her and met all of her corgis. It was clear that she took such loving care of her dogs. We knew we would get one of her dogs when she had a new litter. We stayed in touch via text and social media until she had two litters due in March 2024. She sent pictures within days of their births. We started visiting frequently and building a relationship with the corgis and Anita. She is a devoted dog-lover. She feeds her dogs high-quality food and personally bathes them. We quickly fell in love with a little brute we named Waylon. As we visited with her and the pups, we also fell in love with a little fawn female we’ve named Penny. We have had corgis for almost 20 years, but have never had littermates before. Anita has been a consistent resource in their first year of life. She keeps in touch and helps us when we have questions and concerns. Our babies are healthy and happy. They are ridiculously smart and show the perfect amount of corgi personality and sass. As a lifelong lover of corgis (we’ve had a total of 4), I cannot recommend a breeder/ owner more highly than I recommend Anita.

We had a great experience working with Anita. From the day I first contacted her about her puppy she was easy to work with. She replied promptly to all my questions and offered knowledgeable answers about her puppy. Once we arrived to see the puppy, Anita greeted us in her home and allowed us to meet the puppy. Anita definitely wanted to make sure that the puppy liked us and we liked her. She also gave us helpful information about some of the training techniques she had used so far so we could continue them at home. After we decided to take our adorable puppy, soon to be named Hazel, Anita gave us her shot record and a care package of toys and a blanket to take with us. Once home Hazel adapted really easily into the home. She was already crate trained and was sleeping through the night. It also didn’t take long to finish the house training Anita had started. Hazel is such a fun dog. She’s playful and outgoing, the kind of dog who never meets a stranger. She’s a favorite at her vet’s office where she’s befriended everyone who works there. And she loves to give kisses, go for walks and play with her giggle ball.
