I'm Teri B., the breeder behind Apex Weimaraners located in Midlothian, TX. Apex Weimaraners is located just south of Dallas Texas. We live on 6 acres so our dogs have plenty of room to run and play.
We have loved and lived with Weimaraners for over 30 years, but have just started actively competing with them in the past few years.
Our dogs all compete in the AKC show ring and complete their Champion titles. We also enjoy hunt tests and work toward getting titles in the field on all of them.
Q. & A. with Teri
Why did you start breeding?
I started showing and field training my Weimaraners as a hobby, but that has now grown into a passion. As my passion for this breed grew, so did my goals for them. I have seen things I love about this breed and also things I think need to be improved. My goal when breeding a litter is to make the breed better.
What makes your program special?
My dogs are all part of our family and live inside our home with us full time. I complete show and field titles on all of my dogs and complete all health testing before I would ever consider breeding. Our #1 goal when breeding a litter is to produce a conformationally correct dog that can do what the breed is supposed to do (hunt) while having a great disposition and calm demeanor so it can be an exceptional house pet as well.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
