I'm Marcus & Dawn D., the breeder behind Appalachian Siberians LLC located in Ellijay, GA. We breed Siberian Huskies with the goal of producing well-rounded, family-oriented dogs. Our approach is intentional and limited, with an emphasis on responsible breeding, clear expectations, and placing each puppy in a home that’s the right long-term match.

Why did you start breeding?
We’ve owned and raised Siberian Huskies for over a decade, and they’ve become true members of our family. Now empty nesters, with grown children who share the same love and passion for the breed, we’re committed to responsibly sharing the joy and experience of owning a well-bred, well-raised Husky with others. :)
What makes your program special?
We’ve spent over a decade owning and living with Siberian Huskies, and they’re a big part of our daily life. We raise our dogs in our home because we believe early socialization, structure, and daily interaction are foundational to developing healthy dogs with stable temperaments that fit well into family life. We always prioritize thoughtful placement and long-term fit over volume & convenience.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include gray and white, red and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Marcus & Dawn

Marcus & Dawn has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

About Ava
Ava is a true sweetheart and one of the most gentle, loving dogs we have ever had. She is calm, affectionate, and deeply people-oriented. Ava loves to snuggle and prefers being close to her family. She gets along easily with everyone she meets and has an exceptionally kind disposition. She is very bright and a quick learner. Ava does extremely well both on and off leash and, for a Husky, has a natural instinct to stay close rather than wander. She enjoys walks and exploring, but if given the choice, she would rather be curled up next to her people. She has a relaxed energy and settles beautifully in the house. Ava has an outstanding temperament. She is happy, gentle, and fun without being overwhelming. She is excellent with other dogs and consistently calm and respectful in social situations. This is Ava’s first litter, and she has already proven to be an incredible mother. She is attentive, patient, and deeply nurturing with her puppies. Watching her care for them has been a joy, and her maternal instincts are strong and natural. Overall, Ava is an exceptionally well-balanced dog. She is loving, calm, affectionate, and steady, and truly one of those dogs that leaves a lasting impression on everyone who meets her.

About Axel
Axel is a happy, confident, and social male with a great temperament. He has a medium energy level and genuinely enjoys being around people. He is excited to meet new adults and kids alike and is affectionate without being overbearing. He is very bright and a quick learner. Axel is independent by nature but responds extremely well to commands both on and off leash. He loves being outside and going on adventures, but he is also housebroken and settles well indoors. He prefers to be near his family and our other dogs and enjoys being part of whatever is going on. Axel is playful and fun. He loves tug-of-war and will happily play fetch, especially with his stuffed toys. He is also a bit of a food opportunist, so we keep a close eye on him. That curiosity and food drive are part of what makes him so intelligent and trainable. Personality-wise, Axel is confident, affectionate, and very people-oriented. He is independent until he decides he wants attention, and then he will make sure he gets it. He is an attention hog in the best way. There is not an aggressive bone in his body. He is simply a happy, well-balanced dog with a great disposition. Axel is AKC registered with full breeding rights and is a joy to live with.

I want to start off by saying how amazing Marcus and Dawn are! They were both very helpful from start to finish in the process of helping me find my new fur baby. I was really unsure about the entire process, but with Marcus and Dawn I felt at ease. It was my first time using Good Dog to find a breeder and I wasn’t disappointed. Both Marcus and Dawn were thorough in answering all my questions about my new puppy. I felt as if I could really connect with them and reach out to them. They always made sure to check in with me and send me picture's of my pups growth. When it was time to pick up my puppy they even gave a blanket with the mom and litters scent along with a toy, food, and some pee pads. This is my first dog and she is the sweetest, gentlest, people loving dog. She is such a love bug and loves to cuddle! I think Marcus and Dawn are super awesome and totally recommend them to anybody interested in getting a Siberian Husky pup!
