“We take great care placing our puppies with families. Reservations are made for the litter as a whole. Puppy selection takes place around week seven after structure and temperament can be properly assessed. Buyers will choose their puppy after assessments are completed in the order in which deposits were received. Breeder will provide input on the best fit for each family based on puppy temperaments and individual family situations.”

“Price range depends on placement and reflects health tested, titled parents, & European bloodlines. Puppies are matched carefully to homes with lifetime breeder support and wellness checks completed. A $1,500 non-refundable deposit reserves your place and is applied to the final price. Deposits are accepted after approval. Puppy selection is based on temperament and best match for each home.”

On Sunday, our Urus x Bonny litter had their ears cropped, and I wanted to share an update on how everyone is doing. Despite a historic winter storm here in Northern Wisconsin (over 2.5 feet of snow in ~36 hours in my town), the puppies handled a very long travel day (nearly 19 hours total) incredibly well. Their resilience and temperaments continue to impress me every single day. Most importantly, once puppies returned home, they ate immediately, and were back to their playful, happy selves the very same day. Recovery has been smooth so far, and I’m very pleased with how comfortable the puppies are. Ear cropping is something I choose to handle myself rather than leaving it to buyers to sort out after puppies go home. Access to experienced crop veterinarians can be limited, and timing is critical, so ensuring it’s done properly, with a vet I trust, and with a proper crop for the breed is extremely important to me. I’m extremely happy with the crops themselves. My goal is a balanced, clean line with a properly rounded bell, intentionally shaped to complement and accentuate the traditional, historically correct lines of the Cane Corso head. I feel this litter reflects that vision very well. Providing the best care for my dogs is always my top priority, even when conditions are less than ideal. I’m proud of how these puppies handled everything and am so excited to watch them continue to grow and develop over the coming weeks!

The puppies had their first vet visit today and I couldn’t be more proud of this litter. All five loaded up for their first car ride and settled immediately into their crate without a single peep the entire trip there or back home. No whining, no stress, puppies simply piled up together and settled in for the ride. At the clinic they handled the experience beautifully. They were calm in the waiting room, curious about their surroundings, and very interested in watching other dogs come and go and the resident cats in the lobby. On the exam table they stood nicely for the vet and tolerated their exams and vaccines without fuss. Not even a peep out of a single puppy for their vaccines, which is a huge testament to their toughness and their calm, steady, and confident temperaments. Today they received their first DAPPV vaccination (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus) as part of their regular puppy veterinary care. After their exams they were allowed to explore the exam room for a bit and confidently investigated everything. All five were sniffing around, checking out the door and hallway sounds, and happily interacting with the staff. They had many hands on them today as all the clinic staff came by for a puppy fix, even those not examining the litter today. Early experiences like this tell me a lot about a litter’s temperament, and this group continues to impress me with their confidence, curiosity, and stability in new environments. Very proud of these babies today. If you’re interested in learning more about this litter or upcoming puppies from Arcana Cane Corso, feel free to reach out.

Ear Crop Update Ear cropping for this litter has been scheduled with my veterinarian for Sunday, March 15. I personally handle all post-crop aftercare, including daily cleaning, medications, monitoring, and stitch removal. Puppies remain with me for the full recovery period and are not released until at least 8 weeks of age, regardless of crop status. For families who prefer a natural (uncropped) puppy, a reservation and deposit must be received no later than Friday, March 13, so I can finalize numbers with my veterinarian ahead of the scheduled procedure. If you have questions about ear cropping, aftercare, or would like to talk through options, I’m happy to discuss. *** Photo is of a fully healed crop from the same veterinarian who will be cropping this litter.***

About Havana
Havana is an import from North Macedonia with strong Italian lineage, combining correct breed type with an exceptional, stable temperament. She is AKC major pointed and has been a confident, steady presence in the show ring from the start. Structurally, Havana is a very well-balanced female with excellent proportions, a strong topline, and clean, functional movement. She has the substance and athleticism expected of the breed while maintaining a feminine outline. Her head is one of her standout features in that it is expressive, well-proportioned, and true to the classic Cane Corso breed type. Temperament is where Havana truly sets herself apart. She is extremely sweet, stable, and easy to live with, truly a joy to have around. She is confident in new environments, comfortable at shows, and takes everything in stride without fail. She is also incredibly social and adaptable. At shows, I am able to hand her off to other breeders to take back into the ring when needed, and she is consistently complimented as being a very enjoyable dog to handle. She’s often described as a “fun girl,” which fits her perfectly. She has a playful, goofy personality while still maintaining the calm, confident presence the breed is known for. Havana is also consistently complimented by veterinarians and anyone who meets her for her demeanor and overall quality. She represents the kind of temperament, structure, and type that I prioritize in my program and I’m extremely proud to have her as a part of the Arcana Cane Corso pack.

About Juno
Juno is a young import from North Macedonia and represents the next generation of our program. She is a very large, powerful, and well-muscled female with exceptional structure, balanced proportions, and some of the most fluid, effortless movement in our kennel. Athletic and highly capable, Juno embodies the functional type of the Cane Corso. She is strong without heaviness, incredibly agile for her huge size, and carries herself with natural confidence and awareness of her environment. Her movement, in particular, reflects the kind of efficiency and soundness expected of a true working Cane Corso. Temperament-wise, Juno is a sweet and affectionate girl with her people, while remaining appropriately alert and discerning with strangers. She has a natural presence without unnecessary reactivity, paired with a high level of drive and engagement. She is a full sibling to a male who earned Best Puppy at the Cane Corso Breeder’s Cup in Italy and went on to place Reserve at the Raduno dell’Anno the following day. This is an accomplishment that reflects the consistency and quality behind Juno’s pedigree an our program in general. Juno will begin her show career this year. As she approaches two years of age in late spring, we plan to begin her health testing. We are excited to watch her continue to mature and anticipate her future contributions to the program.

About Bobby
Bobby is an imported male from North Macedonia and an AKC Champion, representing the type of European structure and temperament that is foundational to my program. While he is a very beautiful and correct male, Bobby’s defining quality is his temperament. He is the kind of dog that leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets. He is affectionate, confident, and deeply intuitive. He is often the first dog I introduce to visitors because of his ability to read people of all ages and respond appropriately. Bobby embodies the true Cane Corso temperament: observant, discerning, and protective without unnecessary aggression. He is highly attuned to his environment and naturally steps in when he feels it is needed, whether that means quietly but firmly placing himself between another dog and one of my cats, or calmly monitoring unfamiliar situations while waiting for direction from me. One of the most important traits in this breed is the ability to protect with clarity and control, not reactivity. Bobby demonstrates this beautifully. He does not escalate situations. Rather, he assesses and responds appropriately, all the while remaining steady and confident. He is also incredibly social and stable in new environments. He shows without hesitation, carries himself with confidence, and is consistently complimented on both his presence and demeanor, not just at shows, but at vet offices, and when out and about in public. He is athletic, brave, and balanced, with an extremely playful, goofy side at home that makes him an absolute joy to live with. Bobby is more than just a champion. He is a true ambassador for the breed and a cornerstone of the temperament I strive to produce at Arcana Cane Corso. I couldn’t be prouder of this dog.

Britta is an amazing breeder! She’s very friendly and was so helpful throughout the process. She helped us pick a puppy that fit in perfectly with our family. Britta is very knowledgeable and was very prompt at answering any questions we had. She truly cares about her dogs and asks for updates on how our puppy is doing. All of her dogs are very well trained and have great temperaments. I highly recommend her!
