Q. & A. with Amy

  • Why did you start breeding?

As a pediatric/NICU nurse, I never expected to find myself on the other side of nursing. It's still hard to wrap my head around the fact that 3 of our 5 girls have/had life-threatening illnesses. Living in the world of pediatric oncology and congenital heart disease with our own children has been the biggest stressor and challenge of my life. We were blessed by the love and generosity of friends, family, neighbors, community members, co-workers, and complete strangers. We started breeding for therapy and now consider it an honor and a privilege to pay it forward. It brings us great pride and joy to gift a puppy to families inflicted by life-threatening and complex pediatric illnesses.
  • What makes your program special?

Along with the adoption, families participate in a once-in-a-lifetime 8-week Puppy Experience through the many puppy perks offered at Arizona Desert Doodles. Puppy perks include a build-your-own gift bag, access to a live puppy cam, unlimited visitation, a network of support with other buyers from your litter, a health guarantee, and professional photos.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Cavapoo puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Cavapoo puppies include merle, cream, brown, and apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
