I'm Amy M., the breeder behind Arrow Hope Farms located in Rockwell, NC. We commit ourselves to preparing each one of our puppies to thrive in their new homes, and we enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence! The first 3 weeks of life are crucial for a well rounded and socialized puppy.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I started breeding because of my love for babies and helping people get a well adjusted baby for their family. We were finding that puppies we adopted were not socialized well or adaptable to most situations in life. We are working diligently to change that for future puppy owners.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our program is special because we believe the first 3 weeks of life are crucial. Eyes open around 10 days and hearing begins around 2 weeks. We interact with puppies through touch. They are gently handled and stroked. They learn human touch is a pleasant experience. We include Early Neurological Stimulation once daily from day 3 till the 16th day. A period believed to be a time of rapid growth and development. Five benefits that have been observed are improved heart rate, stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress and greater resistance to disease according to Breeding Better Dogs developed by Carmen Battaglia.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and white, white, cream, chocolate, black, gold sable, and fawn sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Amy

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,700 - $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Amy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Amy and her son, Coleman, who delivered our new Havanese, Solo, are excellent advertisements for GOOD DOG. Amy know the breed, FaceTimed with me, sent videos, offered advice about his habits and care. Solo is the baby brother to my one year old Havanese, Chewie. They are a riot together, and Solo is too dang cute for words, and a firecracker, which we wanted. I am a bit tired at the moment, but what new momma isn't?

    Amy was amazing! She kept us totally updated on our puppy with pictures and messages about her personality and development. Cricket is everything she described and more. Amy had prepared her very well for her new life in our family, so when she came home with us, we got a loving, confident baby who is a perfect fit. Cricket has a huge range of vocalizations that sound like Ewok and Wookie from Star Wars. She loves to get right up to your face and look you in the eyes as she quarrels at you. She is a joy! (Yes, all the pictures are the same puppy - she changed color as she grew!) I would go straight back to Arrow Hope Farms and get another puppy from Amy in a heartbeat.

    From the moment we found Mickey (Cupid) on Amy's listing for a Havanese, we knew the process would be smooth. Amy was incredibly informative throughout, providing regular updates on Cupid's progress as he grew. When it was time to bring Cupid home, everything went seamlessly. Upon arriving at Arrow Hope Farms, we were warmly welcomed by Cupid's parents, Banjo and Monkey, who seemed genuinely excited to meet us.
