Meet the breeder

I'm Vicki G., the breeder behind Artwyrks Havanese located in La Habra, CA. Artwyrks Havanese is where every puppy is a work of art! I've been breeding quality dogs for 25 years and love every minute of it. I am passionate about breeding only for health and temperament! I love to show my dogs and place my little ones in approved homes where they will be dearly loved so they can bless you as they continue to bless my home with love and laughter.

Q. & A. with Vicki

  • Why did you start breeding?

The greatest single reason I began breeding is my little pet store Bichon, Kaytee. She suffered from many health issues because of unethical backyard breeding. I loved her dearly and she will always be in my heart. I became a breeder to prevent others from going through the same anguish.
  • What makes your program special?

I grew up in a home in which my parents were responsible breeders. I bred horses for fifteen years before I began to breed my own dogs. I have a wealth of experience and a tremendous love for dogs. My dogs live in my home and sleep in my bedroom with me. I am trained in the neurosequential model of therapeutics in education and I use that knowledge with my puppies.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
