I'm Elizabeth J., the breeder behind Auregrande Fine English Style Golden Retrievers located in Pinehurst, NC. Our dogs are our beloved companions. We care deeply about this breed and are proud to be responsible Golden Retriever breeders. Auregrande is situated on seven acres in a pastoral equestrian community, we are a stone’s throw from the famous Pinehurst Village; an hour’s drive from North Carolina’s Research Triangle of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill and two hours from Charlotte, the banking capital of the south. Q. & A. with Elizabeth
Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved dogs, especially Golden Retrievers, but didn't even think about breeding until I went to get my first puppy. I found the process so confusing, due to all the conflicting sources out there. Finally, I found a breeder, now my mentor, who I trusted was taking care of all aspects of the dogs – both their mental and physical wellbeing.
What makes your program special?
Auregrande dogs are bred to preserve and further the vision of Sir Dudley Coutts Majoribanks, MP the first Lord Tweedmouth, the man credited with founding the Golden Retriever breed. With pride, we can trace our dogs’ lineages back to the Golden’s foundation. The well-bred golden is an outstanding sportsman, able to work the field using intelligence and drive to bring the game back to his master, and also the ideal canine companion, never far from the feet. Whether you desire the ideal gundog or a loving family member, an Auregrande dog will exceed your expectations.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
