Shelia M.

Breeder of Alaskan Malamutes

Meet the breeder

I'm Shelia M., the breeder behind Aurora Borealis Kennels located in Washington. We hold ourselves to high standards for the integrity of our program. All of our puppies are socialized, nurtured, and loved! We are a selective breeding program that focuses on temperament and the overall well-being of our dogs. We breed to produce happy and healthy puppies that can continue to thrive in their forever homes.

Q. & A. with Shelia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started out with Northern Breed Rescue in CA in the late 90's, I fostered mostly expectant moms, new litters, or surgical recovery.
  • What makes your program special?

I research lineage to hand select the best representation of AKC Breed Standard size Alaskan Malamutes. I health test all of my breeding stock & base my future litters on their genetics so you're getting a pup with the least likelihood of developing hereditary defects.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
