Austin’s German Shepherd’s

Kevin A.

Breeder of German Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Kevin A., the breeder behind Austin’s German Shepherd’s located in Amherst, VA. At Austin’s German Shepherds, we produce top-quality German Shepherds to loving and caring homes. Our dogs are our companions first and foremost, they live in our home with us.

Q. & A. with Kevin

  • Why did you start breeding?

We purchased our first female in 2014 and she was such an amazing dog we wanted to share those characteristics with others who wanted the best companion they could find. We also had trained German Shepherds for other people in the past that just did not appear to have those same traits and wanted to produce a line that would bring that quality and trainability to other families.
  • What makes your program special?

We strive to bring happy and healthy German Shepherds to others. Our dogs live in our home, as do our puppies. We are looking to form the total companion. We believe the degree of socialization we give our puppies makes them well rounded pets, allowing their owners the ability to take their German Shepherd with them wherever they go. We raise dogs that can be used for sport, protection, K-9 duties or just a family pet.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
