I'm Pietro M., the breeder behind Az Frenchies located in Maricopa County, AZ. I breed top-quality French Bulldogs with outstanding structure, health, and temperament. They are beloved members of my family! I breed with a focus on health above all, and I genetically test my dogs so I can be sure they will pass on good genes to their puppies. My female breeding stock goes through extensive health testing and is OFA (Orthopedic Foundation of Animals) CHIC tested. I look forward to connecting!
Q. & A. with Pietro
Why did you start breeding?
I had my own amazing Frenchie and fell in love with the breed. It has been an absolute joy of a journey, and I am so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals. I wanted to do my part as a responsible breeder and produce healthy, well-rounded pups. I love what I do! I am devoted to ensuring my Frenchies are happy, healthy, and loved for others to enjoy!
What makes your program special?
I genuinely cherish my dogs and am committed to looking out for the breed as a whole. I know the health and status of every dog I have bred and am proud of the temperament and beauty of my quality puppies. Because my program is small, I am able to give each dog and puppy all of the attention and care that they need to develop and thrive. My dogs are my family, and I give that same love to each puppy as I prepare them to join their forever homes.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Great level
Az Frenchies reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for French Bulldogs.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
