Temperament Over Color: Why We Don’t Match Puppies Based on Looks 🐾 One of the most common things families fall in love with first is a puppy’s coloring—and we completely understand why! Beautiful markings, unique coats, and striking eyes can definitely catch your attention. And trust me, we love producing beautiful colors and markings too! ❤️ But here’s the thing… A puppy can be absolutely stunning and still not be the right fit for your family. At Badland St Berdoodles, while beautiful coloring and markings are a wonderful bonus, they are never our primary focus. Our top priorities will always be: ✅ Health ✅ Structure ✅ Temperament ✅ Proper coat quality and furnishings Color and markings come after those things. Because no matter how beautiful a puppy is, if they don’t have the health, temperament, structure, and coat quality we’re striving for, we’ve missed the bigger picture. That’s why: ✅ All of our puppies are priced the same. ✅ We complete two rounds of temperament testing. ✅ We spend countless hours observing each puppy’s personality as they grow. ✅ We take the time to learn about each family’s wants, needs, and lifestyle. Our goal isn’t to help you choose a puppy based on looks. Our goal is to help you find YOUR puppy. Sometimes the puppy you initially notice in photos ends up being the perfect fit. Other times, the puppy you overlooked becomes your best friend for the next 10–15 years. Because at the end of the day, color becomes just one small part of the picture. Health, temperament, structure, and the bond you share with your dog are what truly matter for a lifetime. ❤️ We believe in matching the right dog to the right family—not just the prettiest puppy to the first person who falls in love with a photo. What’s one personality trait you absolutely must have in your ideal family dog? We’d love to hear your answer—drop it in the comments below! ❤️

🐾 Puppies’ second vet visit is in the books! 🩺❤️ They had fantastic checkups and excellent weight gains—growing exactly how we want to see giant breed puppies grow. We focus on steady, healthy growth rather than growing too fast, which is important for developing joints and bones. We have also been building up their confidence with car rides, and they did amazing! No motion sickness, no accidents, and everyone traveled like little pros. 🚗🐶 Tomorrow they’ll be heading out for some public exposure adventures! We do this safely by keeping them off the ground and not allowing the public to handle them. At this age, their immune systems are still developing, and we want to minimize any risk of illness while continuing to expose them to new sights, sounds, and environments. So for now it’s a “look but don’t touch” policy. 😂❤️ We couldn’t be happier with how this litter is developing! 🐾💕 🐾 One thing we were especially proud of lately was how nicely everyone os sitting and waiting for attention. ❤️ This is something we work on consistently. The puppies are starting to understand that calm behavior gets rewarded. If they jump, paw, or get overly excited, they don’t receive attention. When they sit politely and wait, they get all the love and attention they could want. It’s amazing to see these little lessons starting to click and their manners beginning to shine through! 🐾💕 Elta and Bandit got to ride shotgun today! 😍 At first they weren’t too sure about it, but by the end of their turn they were relaxed, cuddled up, and thoroughly enjoying their time outside the kennel. ❤️🚗🐾

🐾 Tug-of-war champions in training! 🐾 Clyde, Flint, and Doc were having an absolute blast today showing off their teamwork, confidence, and playful personalities. Watching puppies learn how to play appropriately with each other is such an important part of their development. It helps build social skills, confidence, and teaches them how to communicate with their littermates. These three definitely gave it their all, but somehow the rope survived! 😂❤️ Who do you think won this round—Clyde, Flint, or Doc? 🐶🐶🐶

Miss Elta’s first grooming-table practice at 6.5 weeks, and she handled it like a little pro. 🐾 We work on shaver sounds/vibration, eye trims, nail trims, brushing, and table confidence early so grooming feels normal — not scary. One thing we’re especially proud of is how well these puppies are handling everything we’re throwing at them — new sounds, new surfaces, grooming, handling, daily routines, and all the little experiences that help build confident, stable dogs. 🤍 Today they’re officially 8 weeks old, and it’s so fun watching their personalities continue to grow.

We ate, we played, we had “school time” with our kennels… and then we crashed. 😂💤 One of my favorite things to see is when we open the kennel doors and the puppies choose to walk back in on their own. That tells me they already see their kennels as a safe place to relax, rest, and settle — not a scary cage. This is exactly why we start kennel exposure early and make it part of everyday life. Building confidence, routine, and positive associations now helps set them up for a smoother transition into their future homes. 🖤🐾

Helping our puppies learn healthy relationships with food and toys from an early age 🐾 One of the ways we work on preventing food aggression and resource guarding is by calmly taking away bowls or toys, handling them, and giving them right back. This helps puppies learn that humans approaching their food or favorite items is a positive thing — not something to fear or protect. Early training and intentional socialization can make such a difference in raising confident, well-rounded companions. 🤎

I can’t recommend Serena enough! From the very beginning, she was incredibly transparent, honest, and communicative throughout the entire process. She kept me updated every step of the way, answered every question I had, and made sure I felt confident and informed before bringing my puppy home. It’s obvious how much she genuinely cares about her dogs and the families they go to. The love, care, and early socialization she puts into her puppies truly show. Because of Serena, I have the best puppy I could have ever asked for and had me ready to get another sibling for him already. Soldier is healthy, confident, incredibly smart, and has the sweetest personality. He’s exceeded every expectation I had, and I know that’s a direct reflection of the amazing start Serena gave him.

Working with Serena was one of the best experiences I’ve had. She is so responsive and you can tell she LOVES these dogs. The care and attention she puts in to each puppy is astonishing and what you receive is a well-mannered, chill, smart and well adjusted pup. We were fortunate enough to welcome Ralph into our family and he is beyond perfection. He is amazing with my two young boys, and so sweet to our older goldendoodle. He’s a dream and so is Serena. Trust me when I say going through her to find your new family member is the best decision you could possibly make.

We love Serena and Badland St. Berdoodles! Kai is our first puppy and I couldn't have asked for a better experience all around. I feel like I talked to Serena just about everyday from the moment the pups were born. She was always there to answer any questions and make sure that we were comfortable throughout the whole process. Serena drove 12 hours to deliver Kai to us herself and ensure an un-stressful trip for him. We were so impressed at how fast he settled in and how much effort she had clearly already put in with training and socializing. Kai is everything we could have hoped for in a puppy and more. He is such a happy-go-lucky guy and just loves every person/dog he meets. I really can't say enough good things about this breeding program! Thank you to Serena for giving us the best experience possible with our first puppy!! We are so grateful!

I had a fantastic experience with Serena picking out little Wyatt. We already had 1 St. Bernadoodle and she needed a buddy. Serena answered all my questions immediately and delivered him to our door. Wyatt came to us a 3 months as a well adjusted and happy little man. She gave us a detailed schedule that has allowed him to settle in without being overwhelmed with change. He had already bonded with our other pup and the cat. He will meet our house rabbits soon, and they’re bonded with his sister already. He’s observant, smart, and eager to learn from his big sister. He’s already got his first groom appointment set up at Serena’s recommendation. 20 of 10 stars to Serena! ❤️🏆🙌🏽

Oso became a member of our family on April 22,2023. He is the center of all attention and lov d so much. Our experience with Serena exceeded our expectations. She kept us informed with e-mails, photos and videos, All of the socializing she does as a young puppy makes a huge difference at the time the puppy is in their new home. Oso is almost potty trained at 12 weeks, he adjusted to his crate at night with barely a whimper, He was well taken care of and delivered to us by Serena in great condition and spirit. Cannot say enough good things about our experience with Serena!!!
