Meet the breeder

I'm Serena B., the breeder behind Badland St. Berdoodles LLC located in Beach, ND. We are a small, family-run breeding program dedicated to raising emotionally stable, confident, and well-structured dogs. Our puppies are raised in our home using early neurological stimulation (ENS), curated socialization, and foundational training to prepare them for real family life. We focus on intentional pairings, limited litters, and thoughtful placements to ensure each puppy begins life with purpose and stability.

Q. & A. with Serena

  • Why did you start breeding?

I founded my program to create exceptional family dogs with reliable temperaments, strong structure, and emotional intelligence. I saw the need for dogs that were intentionally developed rather than mass produced, and built my program around thoughtful genetics and purposeful raising.
  • What makes your program special?

We operate as a boutique breeding program built on intention, not volume. Our puppies remain in our care until 14 weeks of age, allowing us to provide a strong emotional and behavioral foundation before placement. During this time, each puppy receives advanced early neurological stimulation, structured confidence training, leash and kennel conditioning, potty training foundations, and real-world environmental exposure. All puppies receive age-appropriate veterinary care including blood work, routine health screenings, and guided vaccination protocols before transitioning to their new homes. We believe in preparing our puppies mentally, physically, and emotionally — not simply sending them home — so families receive a companion that is stable, confident, and ready for life. Every placement is intentional, and every puppy is raised with purpose
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I can’t recommend Serena enough! From the very beginning, she was incredibly transparent, honest, and communicative throughout the entire process. She kept me updated every step of the way, answered every question I had, and made sure I felt confident and informed before bringing my puppy home. It’s obvious how much she genuinely cares about her dogs and the families they go to. The love, care, and early socialization she puts into her puppies truly show. Because of Serena, I have the best puppy I could have ever asked for and had me ready to get another sibling for him already. Soldier is healthy, confident, incredibly smart, and has the sweetest personality. He’s exceeded every expectation I had, and I know that’s a direct reflection of the amazing start Serena gave him.

Working with Serena was one of the best experiences I’ve had. She is so responsive and you can tell she LOVES these dogs. The care and attention she puts in to each puppy is astonishing and what you receive is a well-mannered, chill, smart and well adjusted pup. We were fortunate enough to welcome Ralph into our family and he is beyond perfection. He is amazing with my two young boys, and so sweet to our older goldendoodle. He’s a dream and so is Serena. Trust me when I say going through her to find your new family member is the best decision you could possibly make.

We love Serena and Badland St. Berdoodles! Kai is our first puppy and I couldn't have asked for a better experience all around. I feel like I talked to Serena just about everyday from the moment the pups were born. She was always there to answer any questions and make sure that we were comfortable throughout the whole process. Serena drove 12 hours to deliver Kai to us herself and ensure an un-stressful trip for him. We were so impressed at how fast he settled in and how much effort she had clearly already put in with training and socializing. Kai is everything we could have hoped for in a puppy and more. He is such a happy-go-lucky guy and just loves every person/dog he meets. I really can't say enough good things about this breeding program! Thank you to Serena for giving us the best experience possible with our first puppy!! We are so grateful!

I had a fantastic experience with Serena picking out little Wyatt. We already had 1 St. Bernadoodle and she needed a buddy. Serena answered all my questions immediately and delivered him to our door. Wyatt came to us a 3 months as a well adjusted and happy little man. She gave us a detailed schedule that has allowed him to settle in without being overwhelmed with change. He had already bonded with our other pup and the cat. He will meet our house rabbits soon, and they’re bonded with his sister already. He’s observant, smart, and eager to learn from his big sister. He’s already got his first groom appointment set up at Serena’s recommendation. 20 of 10 stars to Serena! ❤️🏆🙌🏽

Oso became a member of our family on April 22,2023. He is the center of all attention and lov d so much. Our experience with Serena exceeded our expectations. She kept us informed with e-mails, photos and videos, All of the socializing she does as a young puppy makes a huge difference at the time the puppy is in their new home. Oso is almost potty trained at 12 weeks, he adjusted to his crate at night with barely a whimper, He was well taken care of and delivered to us by Serena in great condition and spirit. Cannot say enough good things about our experience with Serena!!!
