Meet the breeder

I'm Lauren B., the breeder behind Balthrop Bend Farms located in Chapmansboro, TN. We raise quality and health tested AKC English Springer Spaniels and Great Danes. One of our priorities is to ensure the health and well-being of all our dogs from birth until they leave with their forever family and beyond. We look forward to connecting with you!

Q. & A. with Lauren

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our love for Springer Spaniels inspired us to responsibly share them with others who adore them just as much as we do! It is an honor to represent this breed and create opportunities for others to experience the same joy that we've found in raising these wonderful dogs. We have now opened our hearts to Great Danes as well and are so excited to share them with amazing families too.
  • What makes your program special?

This is where health, temperament, and beauty meet! We truly love our puppies and know you will, too! By creating an environment of health and harmony for young puppies, we believe we are able to give each little pup the very best chance to reach its potential and bring forth its greatest gifts in the relationship with itself and to its family. We pride ourselves on helping all of our clients find the right fit for their needs and lifestyle.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

We had a wonderful experience with Lauren and Balthrop Bend Farms. It was immediately obvious that her Spaniels are family and she wants nothing but successful home placement for her puppies. Lauren was very responsive and provided detailed information on the puppies and the process. My husband and I picked up our female ESS “Birdie” at her location in Tennessee. Lauren provided a detailed folder for Birdie, including her vaccinations and resources for new puppy owners. A care package was also sent home with Birdie including toys, blankets and treats. We highly recommend purchasing your ESS from Lauren. Our Birdie is just beautiful and her personality is the BEST!!! We are so very happy and love our baby girl so much. Mandy & Scott Bush

I’ve been following Baltrop Bend for years and had decided that our next spring would be from them. I contacted Lauren in Jan 2024 and she had a new litter of puppies. I filled out the application and submitted my deposit. Lots of communication and questioned answered. We decided on a female pup and reserved her. We had weekly updates and photos, any time I had a question lauren was prompt to answer. When we hit a little snag on transport/pickup due to us being in Arizona,Lauren worked to help us figure out a solid plan that worked out great. I picked up Katie at sky harbor international in Phoenix. She had all her paperwork and lots of treats and toys. Katie is well adjusted, walked on a leash almost from day one and Had a really solid start on potty training. She is a beautiful healthy happy little girl. I’m so happy we went with this breeder. She’s a total joy!
