Bane's Legacy Cane Corso

Victoria K.

Breeder of Cane Corso

Meet the breeder

I'm Victoria K., the breeder behind Bane's Legacy Cane Corso located in Cove, OR. The birth of "Bane's Legacy Cane Corso" begins with an amazing tale of love, compassion and friendship.   Karie Barstow bred her amazing boy, Bane. He was descended from the first litter in America, of the super 6, and back to Dauno and Tipsi, the dogs used to set the standard when the breed was saved in Italy in 1973. The litter produced spectacular pups, the first amongst eqauls was a brindle boy named Zeus. At 6 months he needed to be rehomed, and a lifetime friendship was formed vía this rescue. Justin Lathrop took him to his beautiful  home on a thousand acres in the mountains of eastern Oregon and called him Chief. Fate brought my husband and I to meet Justin. We developed a true friendship. Our love of the breed and many other shared intrests have solidified that bond. We decided to work together, after a lot of thought and consideration. He had Bane's son. We had dealt with many breeders and were left feeling less than confident in the process that was offered. So we contacted Karie. She had one puppy from the last litter she was going to oversee. She wanted us to have him. It was a no brainer. He was perfect, and he was this incredible woman's last puppy. The great grandson of Bane, who in our biased opinion was truly a marvel. Words cheat him of an accurate description. We decided to name the puppy Omega. He is a mirror image of Bane, he is truly part of Bane's Legacy. These dogs are what can be described as a great representation of the old Italian bloodline. All of the breed standard traits pass strongly to all generations. We chose our name to honor Karie's years of service to the breed, and Bane. He was a perfect representation of a Cane Corso. His heart and personallity were as big as he was. Though we honor him, his whole anscetry can be viewed at: canecorsopedigree. His Legacy can be seen here. Please enjoy the photo gallery of this awesome line.    At Bane's Legacy, our goal is to continue to build upon the efforts of those who came before us. To cherish these magnificant animals, to make sure they go to the proper homes, and always remember we have been entrusted as their caretakers. It is of the utmost importance for the people we meet along this path to feel the same about them. We have had a lot of experiences with other breeders, we took notes on what we liked and what made us uncomfortable. We chose to make it our priority to make sure you never feel that way. We are transparent in our dealings, we provide the puppies with dewclaw removal, tail docking to the proper breed standard length, ear cropping, and vaccinations required up to the time they are picked up. This is all no charge to you. We stand by their health. We will promptly answer all questions and inquiries. Thank you for your time, we appreciate it.
