I'm Karla M., the breeder behind Bar M Toy Aussies located in Lame Deer, MT. Our pups are raised in our home on our horse ranch in southeastern Montana. Our breeding dogs are carefully selected for temperament, disposition, confirmation, trainability and good toy Aussie breed standards. We socialize our puppies with children, cats, other dogs, lots of handling and love.

Why did you start breeding?
Having ranched all my life, I have always had Australian shepherds. I fell in love with them as a child. I saw my first toy Aussie at a horse show 18 years ago and became very intrigued with producing them! I was breeding shelties at the time and decided to go back to my first love, Australian shepherds! I’m so happy to be breeding them “Fun Sized”!What makes your program special?
Our dogs are not raised in a kennel. They get to run around and play and learn how to be puppies on the ranch. Our dogs are very well mannered and bred for good dispositions they are smart, trainable, and fun to have as dogs! We also strive to raise quality toys with REAL Australian Shepherd characteristics.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black tri, blue merle, red merle, and red tri. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

"Includes ASDR registration application, first shots, 2 wormings, puppy record and welcome bag. Our pups are all genetic tested clear for all Aussie Panel diseases. Deposits are taken of a first paid option, you will be on the list for your chosen gender, color or size determined by your placement on the deposit list. Deposits are non refundable but fully transferrable to any available pup in any litter."

DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
