I'm Barbi H., the breeder behind Barbi's Standards located in Richland Center, WI. I breed high-quality Poodles. I love what I do and am committed to producing healthy puppies for loving homes. I pride myself in preparing each one of my precious puppies to thrive in their new homes, and continue 24/7 availability for the life of the puppy.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I grew up with a toy poodle and had 5 toys poodles myself for 16 years. I dreamt of living full time in the country and owning and training Standard Poodles. They are my children...I love what I do!!
  • What makes your program special?

    I am with the pups 24/7 doing Early Neurological Stimulation, Puppy Culture Program, Exposing them to all the smells, feels, sights, sounds of a home and more.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include apricot, cream, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Barbi

Puppy prices include a $1,250 deposit and $1,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures (NEwS), Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Generalized, PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 4 (PRA-crd4), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
