Meet the breeder

I'm Chelsea B., the breeder behind Bardsong Standard Poodles located in Twin Falls, ID. Our ideal poodle is a lively, confident, easy to live with companion animal. We choose pairings thoughtfully and always aim to make improvements with each new generation. We prove our breeding dogs by actively showing and titling in AKC conformation and health test to or above CHIC requirements.

Q. & A. with Chelsea

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our primary purpose in breeding is to advance our own line of show dogs. After showing for several years we're excited to move forward with breeding plans and start showing our own bred-by puppies in the ring.
  • What makes your program special?

Our goal is to produce sound and beautiful dogs with the health and temperament necessary to make wonderful companions. Our dogs are AKC conformation Champions and Grand Champions. We follow health-testing guidelines set by the Poodle Club of America. Our puppies are thoughtfully and lovingly raised with evidence-based protocols to give them the best possible start in life.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, blue, brown, and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Chelsea

Chelsea has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Chelsea partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

“Puppies are matched by us to their future homes after temperament and structural evaluations take place at 8 weeks of age. We take into consideration families' sex, color, and temperament preferences. Prospective show puppies may be held back for several additional weeks as we make our own selections for keeper puppies.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $2,500 - $3,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“The price includes AKC registration, early socialization protocols, first rounds of vaccinations and dewormer, microchipping, and a puppy go-home bag. Once a pregnancy is confirmed and we have a tentative puppy count via x-ray we will begin taking deposits to approved homes to reserve a puppy.”
