I'm Kaylie P., the breeder behind Bayou Doodles located in Covington, LA. Welcome to Bayou Doodles! We are located in Southern Louisiana. We are a small family owned breeder, raising high quality Multi-generational Australian Labradoodles. We are members of the WALA. Our doodles are bred for their hypo-allergic, non- shedding coats, and loving temperaments. We follow WALA and ALAA guidelines/code of ethics. Our breeding adults are fully tested through Paw Prints Genetic Testing to ensure that we provide you with quality puppies. Our dogs are a big part of our family, live in our home, are well socialized and grow with our children.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We have always had a love for animals. We have been on this journey of breeding for over 20 years. We first started with our two Boxers. We absolutely fell in love with Australian Labradoodles and just knew that this was the next step for us. We truly want to better the breed and help families like us to find their perfect pet to love and grow old with.
  • What makes your program special?

    Our Doodles are bred for their hypo-allergic, non- shedding coats, and loving temperaments. We follow WALA and ALAA guidelines/code of ethics. Our breeding adults are fully tested through Paw Prints Genetic Testing to ensure that we provide you with quality puppies. Our dogs are a big part of our family, live in our home, are well socialized and grow with our children.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include caramel ice, caramel cream, caramel, caramel red, red, gold, apricot, cream, chalk, chocolate, cafe, lavendar, parchment, black, silver, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Brucellosis

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
