I'm Stacey B., the breeder behind Bayou Valley Shepherds and American Hunt Terriers located in Cave City, AR. Our Shepherds are bred for working/sport and active families. Our Hunts make wonderful family companions or a loyal hunting buddy! Each pup is treated like a family member and UTD on all vaccines.

Why did you start breeding?
We got our first German shepherd 15 years old, and he was the best dog ever! Since having Duke, I have been dedicated to only raising the best German shepherds. We imported our female last September. She is the prime example of a German shepherd. Bonny is a very stable female that loves everything and everyone. She is also all business on the field. Parents are always heath tested and titled. All of my puppies are raised in a family environment with lots of farm animals.What makes your program special?
Health testing and titling is very important to us. We want to only produce the best Shepherds and Hunts who can lead working or family pet lives.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
German Shepherd puppies include stock and plush coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our American Hunt Terrier puppies include blue, chocolate, black and tan, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

“Our shepherds are bred for workability, and our main goal is to produce healthy well driven puppies. Puppies will be selected based on their drive and what the new family is looking for. We are going to have a mix of medium to high drive puppies and want to find the best possible match for every family. Every litter is raised and loved by our family and we want to see them succeed.”

About DEE
DEE is a very loyal companion to our 3 girls. She plays dressup, helps do IPad videos, and is a wonderful bed partner. When she is not entertaining our girls, she loves to go hunting in the field and dive into armadillo holes. She is also heath tested through Embark.

Bailey is our little crazy dog that LOVES the WATER and the BALL! She is a very driven little dog but she enjoyed snuggles too. She also likes her favorite blue chair or any bed to relax in! We love her and she lives with us in the house. In the summer, our Hunts do like to be outside most of the time!

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
