I'm Terri C., the breeder behind Bear Cove Standard Poodles located in Richmond, KY. My dogs are bred with a purpose in mind. They are well planned and the parents are chosen to complement each other. Parents are titled and health tested before breeding. I breed to AKC standards, NOT the latest fade. My puppies aren't just purebred they are well-bred.
Q. & A. with Terri
Why did you start breeding?
My love of dogs and my desire to protect the breeds for the future. The joy of taking a puppy from birth and watching it grow into a much-loved pet, life-saving service dog, champion show or an obedient well-trained dog.
What makes your program special?
I am the only breeder of standard poodles in Kentucky to be a breeder of merit and be a participant of the Bred With H.E.A.R.T. program. I health test my dogs and remove dogs with bad testing from my breeding program.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
