I'm Savannah S., the breeder behind BEARs Beagles located in New Port Richey, FL. BEARs Beagles specializes in well-rounded dogs that have been worked with from day 1 and can live happily in a home, show, or compete. Each dog is individually evaluated to ensure the best fit possible for both pup and family.
Q. & A. with Savannah
Why did you start breeding?
I am 3rd generation of owning Beagles. It got to a point where I realized that what I fell in love with was disappearing and I didn't want to see it go away completely. Thus, BEARs Beagles was born. Versatility is what I strive for, a well-rounded dog that can have a job and relax at the end of the day with their family.
What makes your program special?
All of my dogs have tried everything and will be titled as such. A champion title minimum in conformation, at least one sport title, must pass temperament testing and advanced obedience training, and all health testing. I'm very particular with what is bred. I want to improve the breed, not maintain what's currently being produced.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include 13-inch and 15-inch sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include lemon and white, red and white, blue tan and white, and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
