Meet the breeder

I'm Katie P., the breeder behind Beaver State Labradoodles located in Gladstone, OR. We can not express how much we just love this breed. They are smart, love their people, and want to please....not to mention their amazing coats! As a breeder we take our role seriously and work towards improving the breed and producing the best possible puppies.

Q. & A. with Katie

  • Why did you start breeding?

Dogs have always been a passion but I wasn’t able to have one as a child. Fast forward to adulthood and after a great deal of research, we were able to acquire our foundation girl Tikka. With the help of our mentor and breeding friends, we have been slowly growing our program. We are always learning, adjusting, and doing everything we can to improve our program.
  • What makes your program special?

Breeding for us is about the love of the breed and the joy of providing families with the loves of their lives. As a small home-based breeder, we are able to spend loads of time with our puppies working with them to be the best puppies! Litter box training, desensitizing, socializing, kennel training, we expose them as much as we can to help them develop into the amazing dogs we know they are!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include caramel ice, caramel, caramel red, red, apricot, cream, chalk, chocolate, cafe, parchment, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
