Q. & A. with Jessica
Why did you start breeding?
My first poodle was in the 90's. I bought from a breeder that also showed dogs. I didn't have the time or flexibility to show until roughly 2007. The same breeder gave me a shot with a show quality puppy. That puppy was really not worthy to breed but was a great learning experience. Improving the breed health and breeding to the poodle standard is really what motivated me to start breeding.
What makes your program special?
I have the time and freedom to individualize care and training of each puppy. They have a great start in life and they are part of the family. My dogs are "normal" dogs and lead a "normal" life. They each have impeccable champion lines. My dogs' pedigrees are blessed w/the Clarion, Halcyon and ByRequest kennel names. My current in-house stud brings an international flare.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
