I'm Kaitlyn B., the breeder behind Beltane Standard Poodles located in Blue Ridge, GA. All our breeding dogs and studs we have or pick to sire are health tested above OFA, UPA, PCA guidelines. All our poodles are titled in show and sport. We will NEVER breed doodles or mixes as they are unethical. We will NEVER breed merle "poodles" as they are not naturally occurring in the breed.

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
