I'm Angie P., the breeder behind Benji’s Babies located in Gravois Mills, MO. Our love for dachshunds inspired us to begin breeding them. We love to see the results of our efforts in the happy and healthy puppies that we’re able to share with others. Although very small, Benji's Babies has been noted as one of the top dachshund breeders in Missouri for the past 17 years.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I fell in love with the dachshund breed after having many different breeds of dogs over the years and decided that I would love to be involved in helping others to experience the love and companionship that a dachshund can provide. My goal is to raise healthy, well socialized puppies that make perfect companions. My focus is on health and disease prevention along with beauty and temperament.

  • What makes your program special?

    My puppies are raised in a clean environment with attention to health and disease prevention. My puppies also receive daily socialization. Puppies may be picked up at my home near Laurie, MO in the Lake of the Ozarks area or at my home in Excelsior Springs, MO near Kansas City, MO.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, black, chocolate, fawn (isabella), chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Angie

Angie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Angie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Puppies are matched with owners that can assure that puppy will be kept safe (fenced yard preferred), given veterinary care as needed (including spaying and neutering), and given love, affection, and attention daily. Puppies will not be matched with breeders unless they have been approved by Benji's Babies. Please text 816-686-1443 for screening.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes deworming, vaccinations, microchip, health record, health guarantee, registration, and food sample. A $300 non-refundable deposit will hold a puppy with the remaining amount due at pick up of the puppy.”

Contract & health guarantee

Angie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
