Meet the breeder

I'm Ruth M., the breeder behind Bernedoodles & Doodles of the Ozarks located in Springfield, MO. We are a group of small boutique breeders and generally have two to three litters a quarter, we retire the dame after 3 to 4 litters. Our goal is to breed the healthiest, highest quality puppies for each of our families. Inside our home, we incorporate temperament testing at week 6 and assist in working with the families to help pair the right temperament to the right family lifestyle!

Q. & A. with Ruth

  • Why did you start breeding?

Ruth has an affinity for animals. Growing up in Wisconsin she spent countless hours on her grandparent’s farm tending to the animals, assisting in births and nursing the sick ones back to health. She found her place there.
  • What makes your program special?

We are very intentional when we decided to breed our pets. Our goal is to breed genetically and physically healthy dogs, raise them in a loving home environment and pair the right puppy personality to the right family. This allows the future owner to train, love and socialize the puppy as their perfect companion pet. Future owners will have constant contact, pictures, and videos of their litter.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include mini and standard sizes. Goldendoodle puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include sable, black and white, tri-color, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
