I'm Bernie R., the breeder behind Bernie Rogers located in Maryland. I have been working to preserve the Siberian Husky breed for over 40 years. My ultimate goal is to place each and every puppy in the perfect home. I strive to produce dogs that excel in conformation, obedience, sled dog performance and training.

Why did you start breeding?
Accidentally, unintentionally, and initially unhappily! In 1981 I took in a wonderful rescue male Siberian to place, Smoke. My young female had a silent heat. We attempted to spay her twice but had some complications. Our vet recommended we not try again, 2nd time was touch-n-go, a lot like "Smoke" did. Neutered & kept Smoke for 14 yrs. I blame it all on Smoke.What makes your program special?
Lifelong dedication, support, and the preservation of the Siberian Husky breed, my background of all that have mentored me - which has supported and influenced my breeding decisions, and my ultimate goal to place each and every puppy in that same type of puppy appropriate home that a historical breeder placed within my home in April of 1971.
