Birdsboro Pointers

We imported Luigi at 5 months of age from a world renowned Pointer kennel in Italy. Luigi is a phenomenal dog - obviously handsome, super sweet, smart, and a great hunter. We are excited that Luigi will help us add more Italian lineage to our breeding program.

Tuesday is a happy, sweet girl… and she is a smiler! Her parents, Rowley and Woodstock, are two of the best dogs we have EVER bred at Birdsboro… and that is saying a lot around here.

Jude is from our Mythical Creatures litter, which was from semen from our foundation dog, Boone, that was frozen for 13 years! Jude exemplifies all of the traits that we loved in his father, Boone. He is sweet, kind, gets along with everyone, and just has an amazing temperament. Jude has been an amazing sire and has produced some outstanding puppies including Ivan, Arley, and Romey.

Woodstock is a true gentleman. Just the best all around dog you could ever hope for. He and his sister, Frankie, are by far two of the best dogs we have ever bred. Woodstock loves to run and play, but it's equally important to him that he gets time to snuggle with you. Woodstock is a great asset to our breeding program (and our every day lives).

Romey (and her sister Arley) are from a repeat breeding of Frankie and Jude. This is the only Pointer litter we have ever repeated because the first litter was just that awesome. And Arley and Romey have not disappointed. They are amazing in every way. Romey loves to retrieve, is easy going, and gets along with everyone.

Ivan is a big, handsome lug. Truly a gentle giant. He gives the best hugs. His parents, Frankie and Jude, produced such an amazing litter the first time around… that we repeated the breeding and kept Arley and Romey the next time around. Ivan had passed all of his OFA testing (hips, elbows, and cardiac).

Hiccup is a calm, gentle girl. Hiccup was bred by us, with a Birdsboro mom and a dog from another kennel (so an “outcross” breeding to diversify our lines). She inherited the best of both of her parents as far as personality and conformation (good looks)… which is of course what we hope for in a breeding. Hiccup has been well health tested; please see her OFA status for all of her testing (hips, elbows, thyroid, and cardiac).

Boone was my first Pointer. It’s a credit to him that after I got him, my entire life trajectory changed. It’s because of him that I became a veterinarian and started the Birdsboro breeding program. He was a dog that’s as so amazing, he is hard to describe. He taught me everything about Pointers. He is our foundation dog meaning many of our dogs go back to him. He was healthy (and lived to 13 1/2), awesome in the field, and gorgeous. But above all he had the best temperament. (We have frozen semen saved from him, which we have used in occasion.)
