I'm Ingrid J., the breeder behind Black Star Farm located in Paris, TX. At Black Star Farm, our Miniature Schnauzers are raised in our home with our children and nurtured with love, care, and natural living. We feed raw and premium natural foods to support good health, raising confident companions who embody the best of the breed — loyalty, intelligence, and heart.
Q. & A. with Ingrid
Why did you start breeding?
Our love for Miniature Schnauzers began with our first family dog, Pepper — loyal, smart, and full of personality. We fell in love with the breed and wanted to share that joy with others. What started as a family passion grew into Black Star Farm, where we raise healthy, well-socialized Schnauzers with heart, purpose, and homegrown care.
What makes your program special?
At Black Star Farm, our dogs are part of our family — never in kennels. Each puppy is raised in our home and socialized daily with our children. We believe in natural living and mindful nutrition, feeding a balanced mix of raw and premium natural foods to promote vibrant health and happy temperaments. We even craft our own dog shampoo and nourishing skin oils to keep every coat healthy and soft.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include parti, black and silver, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
