Meet the breeder

I'm Tameesha V., the breeder behind BlackRose Norwegian Buhunds located in Grand Blanc, MI. We breed AKC Norwegian Buhunds for show, performance, and active family companions. Litters are from health tested and titled parents. Norwegian Buhunds are a very rare spitz breed that is in danger of becoming extinct without preservation breeding.

Q. & A. with Tameesha

  • Why did you start breeding?

We got into breeding because our breed is seriously endangered. We purchased a quality foundation female, raised, titled, and health tested her before ever breeding a litter. Since then, we have grown our breeding program to continue providing loving family homes with outgoing lively Norwegian Buhunds in the hope that we can contribute to expanding the gene pool with quality dogs.
  • What makes your program special?

We raise our puppies using Puppy Culture Protocols and Early Neurological Stimulation. Puppy Culture is a series of activities backed by research to help puppies develop to reach their full potential. It includes protocols and activities to begin training & matching puppies to their best-matched homes. We support our puppies buyers as much as they need including information on food, health and more.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and wheaten. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
