I'm Bruce K., the breeder behind Blessed Acres Miniature Poodles located in Akeley, MN. We are a small, home-based Miniature Poodle breeder focused on health, temperament, and responsible practices. Our puppies are raised inside our home, well socialized, and handled daily. We prioritize sound genetics and loving foundations to prepare each puppy for lifelong companionship.

Why did you start breeding?
After retiring, we realized we weren’t ready to slow down. With more time on our hands, we decided to pursue something we’ve always loved. Because Poodles have been part of our lives for so many years, breeding them felt like a natural next step. It allows us to stay active, do meaningful work, and share this wonderful breed with other families.
What makes your program special?
We are a small breeder with 2 females and 1 male, focusing on quality over quantity. Our dogs receive plenty of individual attention, and our females have no more than 3 litters if cleared by our vet. After retiring, they stay with us for life, and we update families if any health concerns arise.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Bruce

Bruce has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Bruce partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“FaceTime is required. During the FaceTime you will be approved or denied. We are looking for loving forever homes for all our puppies so we do deny people that we don’t think are a good fit. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $1,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes a one year health guarantee, AKC registration, first round of vaccinations, deworming, going home bag and puppy socialization. All puppies are the same price regardless of size or color. Once the deposit is placed you will receive updates and pictures of your puppy.”

Contract & health guarantee

Bruce may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Daisy is our beautiful AKC miniature poodle and the cozy heart of our home. She weighs about 21 lbs and has a wonderful, easygoing temperament. Daisy is a true couch potato who loves nothing more than curling up with her people for a good movie or nap. She enjoys being close to her family, going on relaxed walks, and keeping a gentle eye on everything that’s happening. Sweet, calm, and full of snuggles, Daisy is the perfect example of the loving companion we want all our puppies to grow up to be.
