I'm Melissa S., the breeder behind Blessings Pups Doodles located in Waco, TX. Our puppies are family-raised in our countryside home and well-socialized, starting from the moment they are born. How we care for and love our puppies is of the highest priority. Our goal is to raise happy and healthy puppies, from our family to yours.

Why did you start breeding?
I grew up breeding dogs with my Mom since I was a young girl. My husband and I started in 2006.
What makes your program special?
We are not a breeding mill. Our dogs are raised in our home with lots of love and are well-socialized with children and people of all ages. We work hard at being proactive to keep your puppy as healthy and happy as we can. We are always open for questions and advice well after you have taken your puppy home.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include mini and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red, black and white, tri-color, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Melissa

Melissa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Melissa partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $3,200 - $4,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes age-appropriate vaccines, Deworming, health certificate from my vet, a two year health guarantee/contract, 30 days free pet insurance through Trupanion, and a goodie bag. The deposit is nonrefundable and included in the total price. While deposits are not refundable they are transferable.”

Contract & health guarantee

Melissa may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures (NEwS), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, GM2 Gangliosidosis, Poodle Type, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
