Meet the breeder

Q. & A. with Fernando

  • Why did you start breeding?

My journey into breeding began with a love for dogs and a desire to share that joy with others. I started as a pet owner and quickly realized how much I valued the bond, companionship, and joy dogs bring to a family. Over time, I became interested in learning more about responsible breeding practices, health testing, and raising well-tempered puppies.
  • What makes your program special?

Our program focuses on health and raising puppies in a loving home. All breeding dogs undergo OFA health testing and are carefully selected for temperament, ensuring confident puppies. Raised in our home with daily socialization and lots of love, our puppies are prepared to thrive. We also provide full transparency and lifelong support, sharing health records and lifetime guidance.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Goldendoodle puppies include medium and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Golden Retriever puppies include dark golden and light golden. Goldendoodle puppies include apricot and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing

Good level

BloomingPuppies reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Goldendoodles.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
