I'm Janet B., the breeder behind Blue Moon Belgian Sheepdogs located in Florissant, CO. I breed to the standard according to the Belgian Sheepdog Club of America. My dogs compete in conformation & many performance sports. I do extensive health testing. My dogs live in my home with me. They not only are show dogs but are also loving companions.
Q. & A. with Janet
Why did you start breeding?
I started going to pet obedience classes and my dog did so well, it was suggested that we compete. I started in conformation also. We had so much fun and my dogs always received compliments. I decided to breed at that time. I usually wait until I have a waiting list before I plan a litter.
What makes your program special?
Pups are home raised and extremely well socialized. They are born in our home and are with us 24/7 experiencing all the sights and sounds of our home. They are introduced to other dogs and cats. As a trainer, I start working with them as soon as they are walking. We have a puppy playground that they can explore and they have access to indoors and outdoors, weather permitting.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
