I'm Lydia J., the breeder behind Blue Mountain Great Danes LLC located in Pennsylvania. Our Great Danes are the result of extensive research and thorough care for our outstanding dogs and puppies. Our Great Danes are part of our family. We adore the breed! With each puppy, I have spent countless hours of socializing and making sure they receive the best care. We breed for temperament and health first and foremost.
Q. & A. with Lydia
Why did you start breeding?
I’ve been obsessed with Danes long as I can remember. At 12 years old I promised myself one day I will have one! Fast forward to our very first Dane and she was everything I hoped. Was I hooked? Completely. The love I have for Danes then expanded into pouring that love into breeding Great Dane puppies so that other people can experience the same joy I have had with them.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs aren’t just dogs. They are family. Each one has a unique personality and brings so much joy. My goal is to produce quality dogs that can bring joy, love, laughter and excitement into your home like they have mine.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include mantle merle, blue and white, blue, harlequin, mantle, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
