I'm Karin D., the breeder behind Blue Skye Doodles located in Florence, OR. We are the original Aussie Bernedoodle breeder and have been proudly raising Bernedoodles and Aussie Bernedoodles (now more commonly known as Australian Mountain Doodles) since 2015. Raised in our home by our family, we are passionate about our Doodles and love sharing them with families. We have the experience, dedication and knowledge to do it right. Gorgeous coats and colors, healthy genetics and great temperaments in a low shedding, low allergen package. We truly strive to do it right. Dedicated whelping room in our home and we are there to help mom during delivery. We utilize early ENS, Puppy Culture protocols and the Rule of Seven. Caring for our puppies doesn't begin at birth, we believe in a natural non-toxic environment and the healthiest canine diet for our parent dogs. We are not feeding cheap dog food and exposing our dogs to unnecessary chemicals and additives. This is our passion, we love what we do and have scheduled our lives around our dog family.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    After our son raised a doodle puppy to be a future service dog, we realized the non-profit service dog provider needed a different kind of help. They wanted puppies whose parents had been genetically cleared for common diseases and then raised a certain way with protocols to help them develop into future confident adults. They also needed them to be donated so they could then focus on the cost for training them. We rose to the challenge and have been proud to donate many puppies to be future service dog since our first litters.

  • What makes your program special?

    We have been responsibly breeding Doodles since 2015. Our experience, knowledge and 24/7 dedication ensures you will be bringing home a happy, healthy new family member. Our doodles are treated right, raised in a healthy non-toxic environment, fed the best food & completely spoiled. Puppies are welcomed into this world with love, then nurtured, fed and socialized so they thrive.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Bernedoodle puppies include tiny and mini sizes. Australian Mountain Doodle puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Bernedoodle puppies include red, chocolate merle, tri-color, blue merle, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Karin

Karin has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Karin partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $3,000 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes a health guarantee, first vaccinations and a wellness exam by our vet. Posted pricing is for pet only, breeding rights are occasionally offered for an additional amount for like-minded programs. The initial reservation fee reserves your puppy until after vet exams are completed, usually between 6 & 7 weeks of age. If anything were to come up during that exam, that fee can be returned.”

Karin may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
