I'm Jeanne F., the breeder behind Bluemittn Retrievers located in Marine City, MI. CHRISTMAS PUPS AVAILABLE! We are a small family run hobby breeder. Our dogs live in the house with us & are part of the family! All of our dogs have attained the required clearances for genetic diseases before we breed them. We compete with our dogs in conformation, obedience & hunt.

Why did you start breeding?
For as long as I can remember, I have always had a dog except for a few years when I was in the Navy and relocating. I love dogs and I know how invaluable the love and companionship of a dog is and what a difference they can make in a person's life. I'm dedicated to providing quality, healthy puppies who will easily be able to go on to become trusted companions, service dogs or show dogs.What makes your program special?
All litters are whelped in our home. The way I raise the puppies is pretty unique, utilizing the Puppy Culture of socialization at days 3-16 and providing them with continuous training and hands-on love and attention. I want every puppy to have as big of a head start as possible, equipped with all the skills to successfully transition to their new forever home.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Labrador Retriever puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Jeanne
Jeanne has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,300 - $2,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Once a litter has been confirmed, we will hold a puppy for you with a $500.00 non-refundable deposit. Your deposit guarantees you a puppy.”
Contract & health guarantee
Jeanne may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Luna
Luna is one of those rare and special dogs who is what we call an "old soul". Her personality is larger than life and she is quite the chatter box....but she's not a barker, she actually talks or more like moans and grumbles all at the same time if you can imagine and it's quite apparent that she has a lot to add to the conversation! So needless to say, Luna is the life of the party and is described as "never having a bad day" And while Luna may be loaded with personality, she is also quite the looker and has the cutest most expressive face and would you just look at that gorgeous black pigment! When it's time to hit the road on a new adventure or just putzing around the house, rest assured this girl will always be by our side. She has the most even temperament and the sweetest disposition, so characteristic of the golden retriever. And she is so intuitive and submissive around children another wonderful trait of our beloved golden retrievers. Covid interrupted Luna's Canadian Championship run but she will be finishing it soon and she easily completed her AKC Junior Hunter Title. Luna's favorite things are carrying her food bowl around and around and around the kitchen island while telling us all about her day and eating tomatoes out of mom's garden- just like her big brother Bolt!

About Dory
This amazing girl has done it all! And how could she not when she exemplifies the breed standard with her perfect structure, her physical excellence and beautiful black pigment. She has earned her Canadian Championship title as well as her AKC Championship title, she easily completed the AKC Canine Good Citizen class and earned that title along with a Trick Dog title. She earned her AKC Junior Hunt Title as well as her Working Certificate. I don't think there is anything this girl can not accomplish. And if all of that's not enough, she is the sweetest, sassiest, funniest member of our household and keeps us laughing on a daily basis with her silly Labrador antics. She is our class clown and we couldn't love her more. She is the first to pick up on any hint of one of her humans having had a rough day and will smother you with wet kisses until your troubles melt away. Dory's favorite things are retrieving, going on adventures, her humans and food.

About Grace
This gorgeous girl lives up to her name as she exemplifies the gracefulness of the Golden Retriever with her fluid movement, stunning coat, perfect features and that amazing black pigment. But she didn't just get the beauty, she has the brains to go with it! She is a Canadian Champion, also has her Junior Hunt Title and will be completing her Rally Obedience title soon. Grace would rather be by her humans than any where else in the world. She will tirelessly follow you around as you go about your day, never wanting you out of her sight. She is the best, best friend a girl (or guy) could have with her sweet disposition and willingness to please and we couldn't love her any more. Grace's favorite things are her humans and butter......yes butter- she loves it so much we nick named her our butter baby!

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Profile
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
